Edging for Window and Door Glass
Volume, consistency, and a clean arris. In window fabrication the edging step is judged on one thing: does it keep up, and does it stay consistent at the end of the shift.
What window glass demands
Window fabrication is a flow. Cut, edge, temper, assemble. If edging is slower than cutting, the whole plant runs at the speed of the edging step.
If edge quality drifts through the day, the rejects show up at tempering, where they are most expensive to find.
Sound familiar?
- Edging cannot keep up with your cutting line
- Quality drifts as the shift goes on
- Too much manual handling between steps
- Edge defects only show up after tempering
How the line solves it
- 01
Built for volume
Grinding speed is up to 25 m/min on the current specification. Final throughput depends on panel size, glass thickness, and edge finish.
- 02
Stable from first to last
The line keeps the panel on the same datum through the edging process, with final acceptance criteria confirmed for each project.
- 03
In-line washing
Panels come off clean and dry, ready for the next process without a separate handling step.
- 04
Integration
Conveying direction, station order, and interface dimensions are confirmed against your floor plan.
